Biography
Dr. Kevin F. Dingli completed his secondary education at St. Aloysius College, Malta in 1975. He graduated Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) from the University of Malta in 1981 and Master of Laws (LL.M. with distinction) from the University of London in 1982. He obtained his Warrant to practice the profession of Advocate before the Courts of Malta in 1982 and has been engaged uninterruptedly in the legal profession since that time. He is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Dingli & Dingli Law Firm. He is also a shareholder and director of the Law Firm's associated fiduciary company DG Fiduciary Limited and associated accounting company Q Global Accounting Limited, amongst other positions held. He is the Chairman of the Press Ethics Commission, and a past President of the Association of Malta Shipowners as well as a past Vice-President of the Malta Maritime Law Association. He is a member of the Maltese Association of the Sovereign Order of Malta in the rank of Knight of Magistral Grace in Obedience and occupies the officer position of Hospitaller on its Council.
He is an authorised agent of the Maritime Authority of Jamaica and was appointed Honorary Consul of Jamaica in Malta in 2019. In 2020 he successfully obtained with distinction the Executive Diploma in International Law for Honorary Consuls from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). He is married to Corinne nee' Curmi and has two children, Robert and Louisa, who are both lawyers and work in the family Law Firm. His interests include sailing, gardening, playing football, playing guitar, reading and playing chess.
