MEDAC student gets Honorary Consular Corps Award

The Honorary Consuls Corps Award for 2022/2023 was awarded today to Ms. Erica Marie Borg, a MEDAC student that obtained the highest mark in the thesis component of the M.A. in Diplomatic Studies programme.

The presentation of this award by the Honorary Consular Corps of Malta (HCC) is an annual prestigious occasion that recognises the highest grade obtained by a Maltese student in the postgraduate dissertation.

The award was presented by the Dean of the HCC and Honorary Consul of the Republic of Colombia in Malta Prof. Inġ. Joseph Buhagiar and Treasurer of the HCC and Honorary Consul of the Republic of Korea in Malta Mr Matthew Ellul Sullivan. Prof. Stephen Calleya, Director of MEDAC, and Prof. Derek Lutterbeck, Deputy Director of MEDAC, were present during this event. 

The Honorary Consul Corps was established in 1995 and currently there are fifty eight (58) Honorary Consuls General, Honorary Consuls, and Honorary Vice-Consuls accredited to Malta and representing their respective countries.
