The Dean of the Honorary Consular Corps of Malta, Dr. Kevin F. Dingli, visited the premises of the Mediterranean Academy for Diplomatic Studies (MEDAC) where he presented the prize which the Corps awards annually to the student obtaining the highest marks in the thesis submitted in partial fulfilment of the M.A. in Diplomatic Studies.

The prize was this year awarded to Ms. Alexia Farrugia, whose dissertation was titled “Small States in Multilateralism: The Effects of Malta's United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Term”.

The Dean was greeted on arrival by Professor Stephen Calleya, Director of the Academy, who invited the Dean to sign the Distinguished Visitors’ Book.

The award presentation ceremony took place in the Academy’s library.

Also in attendance were President Emeritus Dr. George Vella, Chairman of the Academy, as well as Ms. Lourdes Pullicino, Senior Associate Academic.

The Dean and Professor Calleya both expressed the wish to explore ways in which the cooperation between the Honorary Consular Corps and the Academy could be further enhanced.
