Biography

Dr. Francis Galea Salomone, holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business and a master’s degree in European studies from the University of Kent. He read law at the University of Malta, and graduated as a lawyer in 2002, after successfully defending a dissertation entitled Regulating Market Abuse on the Stock Exchange.

Francis is a corporate lawyer and strategic advisor with over two decades of experience across private practice, government, and industry. A founding partner of Galea Salomone Advocates, he specializes in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance. He serves as director and company secretary for several Malta Stock Exchange-listed entities and served as the first Chairman for the Forum of Company Secretaries, an official body established to represent the interests of companies listed on the Malta Stock Exchange. He brings an academically grounded, commercially aware approach to law, shaped by legal, business, and European policy training.

Francis is a shareholder at VJ Salomone Group a family-owned business conglomerate with a rich legacy dating back to the 1920’s. The Group operates across various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, fast moving consumer goods, logistics, real estate, information technology and retail. The family’s commitment to integrity, fairness, and excellence has been a cornerstone of the Group’s operations.
